"Mmm … " I groaned, and rolled onto my back, stretching my arms and legs in a way that felt utterly delicious. The ache that had taken up residence in my neck and shoulders was gone. My muscles felt loose and pliable. I almost felt…serene. The sensation was positively wonderful.

Much like the delicious smell of—Wait a minute. I popped an eye open. Was that coffee? I rolled over and sat up all in one swift motion. Sure enough, sitting on top of my desk alongside my laptop was a steaming cup of coffee.

I scrubbed the sleep out of my eyes before latching onto the mug with both hands. I took a giant whiff of the aromatic blond liquid, the scent of vanilla creamer mixed with Arabica beans sending my early morning senses into overload. Carefully blowing ripples across the top of the steaming liquid, I took a sip.

OhGodthat'sgood. Yep. I was pretty sure I'd died and gone to heaven.

A piece of binder paper was taped to the screen of my laptop. I reached forward and tugged, carefully lifting the tape from the monitor.

Went home to take a shower and change clothes. Call Kaylee and tell her I'm taking you to school today. And probably every day from now on :)

I swiped your remote and let myself out through the garage so your front door stays locked. Will be back in a few with some breakfast.
